A2P 10DLC Compliance
Application-to-Person (A2P) messaging compliance for The Lead Standard LLC and its portfolio brands.
Last updated: March 3, 2026
What is A2P 10DLC?
A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person 10-Digit Long Code) is an industry framework established by major U.S. carriers (T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon) to regulate business text messaging sent through standard 10-digit phone numbers. The framework requires businesses to register their brand and messaging campaigns with The Campaign Registry (TCR), ensuring transparency, consumer protection, and improved deliverability.
Our Registration Status
- Brand Registration: The Lead Standard LLC is registered as a brand with The Campaign Registry (TCR).
- Campaign Registration: All messaging campaigns operated by our portfolio brands are registered and verified through approved Campaign Service Providers (CSPs).
- EIN Verification: Our brand registration is verified against our federal Employer Identification Number (EIN).
- Messaging Provider: We use Twilio as our messaging infrastructure provider, which is an approved CSP and Direct Connect Aggregator (DCA).
Consent & Opt-In Requirements
We adhere strictly to TCPA and CTIA guidelines for obtaining consumer consent:
- Prior Express Written Consent: SMS messages are only sent to individuals who have provided prior express written consent through a clear and conspicuous disclosure.
- Clear Disclosure: At the point of opt-in, consumers are informed of the identity of the sender, the type of messages they will receive, message frequency, and that message and data rates may apply.
- Consent Records: We maintain verifiable records of each opt-in event, including the date, time, source (web form, keyword, etc.), and the exact language of the consent disclosure.
- Not a Condition of Service: Consent to receive SMS is never a condition of purchase or use of any service.
Opt-Out & STOP Handling
- Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
- Opt-out requests are processed immediately and automatically. Once opted out, no further messages will be sent.
- A one-time confirmation message is sent upon opt-out: “You have been unsubscribed. No further messages will be sent. Reply HELP for assistance.”
- We also honor opt-out requests received via email at privacy@theleadstandard.com or through our contact page.
HELP & Support
- Recipients can reply HELP to any message for assistance.
- HELP response includes: organization name, support contact information, and opt-out instructions.
- Additional support is available at support@theleadstandard.com.
Message Content & Use Cases
Our portfolio brands send the following types of messages:
- Appointment confirmations and reminders
- Service notifications and account alerts
- Follow-up communications for active sales inquiries
- Automated workflow messages triggered by user actions
We do not send unsolicited marketing messages, messages to purchased lists, or messages unrelated to the consumer's relationship with our services.
Data Protection for SMS
- Phone numbers and consent data are stored securely and are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.
- SMS delivery is handled through Twilio, which processes phone numbers solely for the purpose of delivering our authorized messages.
- Consent data is retained as long as the consumer maintains an active relationship with our services, and for a reasonable period thereafter for compliance recordkeeping.
